Physical Security

MULTI-POINT LOCKING HARDWARE
MSE began installing heavy duty multi-point locking systems in response to requests from our clients. Criminal gangs across the country have recently popularized the technique of physically forcing open rear doors (sometimes using a vehicle), and grabbing  specific  items. They are long gone before anyone can respond to the alarm. A retail chain can be hit fast and hard over multiple stores, and the problem will continue for as long as the doors are easy to force open. There are believed to be organized conduits for the merchandise. Criminals may time the local police patrols, and strike when the night patrol reaches the other end of town, giving plenty of time before they could respond to the alarm. Smash and grab techniques once targeted jewelry stores, pawnbrokers, and liquor stores, but they are now targeting mainstream consumer goods markets such as electronics in suburban as well as urban areas. The multi-point locking device shown at the retail store pictured on the left has 3 active locking bolts that engage the frame on the left side, plus a passive bolt that engages the frame on the right side. This door also has a magnetic lock at the top. MSE provides professional and innovative physical security hardware to compliment our access control and security systems.

SECURITY TURNSTILES AND PERSONNEL GATES
MSE began installing security and barrier turnstiles in response to client requests. Many facilities need their security perimeter to extend beyond the footprint of their buildings, and this is normally done with a perimeter fence. But as facilities have been rethinking the high cost of maintaining manned guard posts, they have sought automated portals through the fence, utilizing access control. Security and barrier turnstiles, such as the one MSE is shown installing at left for a secured transportation hub, offer an easy and practical way of managing unattended entry through the fence. The turnstile unlocks for one entry with the user's access control card. The associated personnel swing gate is designed for the use of any handicapped employees (as you can't get a wheelchair through the turnstile) and it unlocks with their access card. In this facility, employees park their vehicles outside the fence, and this further reduces the opportunities for pilferage or vehicular incidents.

ELECTRIC STRIKES

MSE installs electric strikes for much of our access control work, and can supply and install any of the common brands, including HES, Von Duprin, Folger Adam, Rutherford Controls, Adams Rite, and several others.

ELECTRIFIED HARDWARE

Institutional users often prefer electrified panic and exit hardware on high use doors. MSE can supply Precision/PHI and Von Duprin electrified latch retraction panic and exit hardware in rim styles, surface and concealed vertical rod, and mortise type, as conventional or as narrow stile for storefront doors. MSE also offers electrified exterior trim, and electrified locks, as required. And MSE can supply electrified gate locks, and specialty hardware.

ELECTROMAGNETIC LOCKS

MSE offers Dynalock electromagnetic locks for all those door situations where they are advantageous, with options such as magnetic bond sensors and door status switches, which indicate an efficient magnetic bond or door left ajar.
